Chinese New Year

Gung Hay Fat Choy!  Chinese New Year officially began yesterday and it apparently lasts for 15 days (according to my mom).  Phew!  I was relieved to hear that since I am late in sending out my red envelopes to the little ones!  We celebrated the occasion at a friend’s house with a hot pot dinner.  Yum!  Of course, I had to dress Ethan up in a traditional-style Chinese emperor’s hat just for fun.  It turned out he loved the hat and was even very possessive about it (like most things he owns — “mine!” is ingrained in his little toddler mind).  He also picked out a festive dragon wand at the store to celebrate the new year.  What a cultured kid!  hehe.

Here are some photos I took of him.  Isn’t he just adorable?
